Stage 3 Canberra Excursion

Our Stage 3 campers arrived in Canberra after a L O N G bus ride —and the excitement began the moment they stepped off!

First stop: the Australian War Memorial.

Students explored a range of captivating exhibits and listened to inspiring stories about extraordinary people who have served our country. It was a powerful and memorable start to the trip.

Next on the itinerary: Parliament House.

Here, students discovered fascinating facts about the building’s history and clever architectural design. They visited both the Senate and the House of Representatives, asking thoughtful and curious questions—who knows, we may have a few future politicians in this group!

A visit to the Mount Ainslie Lookout gave everyone a chance to take in Canberra’s iconic views, followed by some fun in the sun. A perfect way to unwind and enjoy the beauty of our nation’s capital.

Science

Congratulations to Lotem, Kushmi, Xingyan, Lillyanne and Jimmy who were awarded prizes in the Science Teachers Association of NSW’s Young Scientist Awards for 2025 at Friday evening’s ceremony at UTS Sydney. Lotem and Kushmi went on to win the Rural Young Scientist Award with their project “Ready, Set, Ant!” Their project will now be entered into the Australian Science Teachers Association i3 National Awards. This is an outstanding achievement by all of our young scientists and we are extremely proud of them all.

Year 3 had a fantastic two days engaging in nature and excelling with honour on their first ever night excursion away from home. Thank you Thalgarrah!! Shout out to Mrs Mac & Mrs Wilson for their time supporting our students in camp.
